How did it all get started?


We decided to put a page on this site that's not specifically about masturbation - but about the history that makes the animated gifs on this site possible. Back in the 1870's and 80's Eadweard Muybridge (yes, that's the correct spelling) began to capture motion on film. Here's a beautiful example of his early work, now transformed into a modern gif. It shows how nicely the guy's cock swings as he walks.

 

 

 

This may seem like old-hat to the modern viewer, but it was absolutely revolutionary at the time. Muybridge had to accomplish it by setting up a separate camera for each "frame" of the motion! And when he showed the pictures on a screen it was done with a series of glass lantern slides - there was no such thing as plastic film or movie cameras.
